Noam Chomsky, John Pilger and now
James Bamford have spilled counter
terrorist tactics of the United States to project on the "spooks" for their
own secret agenda through manufacturing evidence and hidden agendas.
James Bamford in his latest book
"Body of Secrets: how America's NSA and
Britain's General Command HQ eavesdrop on the world", says that according to
secret and long-hidden documents obtained for Body of Secrets, the Joint
Chiefs of Staff drew up and approved plans for what may be the most corrupt
plan ever created by the US government. In the name of anticommunism (now
read as "Osama Bin Laden/ Islamic Terrorism"), they proposed launching a
secret and bloody war of terrorism against their own country in order to
trick the American public into supporting an ill-conceived war they intended
to launch against Cuba (now read Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, etc)
Codenamed Operation Northwoods, the plan, which had the written approval of
the Chairman and every member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, called for
innocent people to be shot on American streets; for boats carrying refugees
fleeing Cuba to be sunk on the high seas; for a wave of violent terrorism to
be launched in Washington DC, Miami, and elsewhere. People would be framed
for bombings they did not commit; planes would be hijacked. Using phony
evidence, all of it would be blamed on Castro, thus giving Lemnitzer (read
now as US Joint Chiefs of Staff) and his cabal the excuse, as well as the
public and international backing, they needed to launch their war.
If Castro failed to provide that excuse, perhaps, said Eisenhower, the
United States "could think of manufacturing something that would be
generally acceptable". What he was suggesting was a pretext - a bombing, an
act of sabotage - carried out against the United States by the United
States. Its purpose would be to justify the launching of a war. It was a
dangerous suggestion by a desperate president (now read as George Bush.)
This idea has now been borne out in the United States, when it was 'attacked
' on Sept 11 2001, and the public has since been hyped up for America's new
war efforts.
"World opinion, and the United Nations forum", said a secret JCS document,
"should be favorably affected by developing the international image of the
Cuban government (read as the Afghanistan government when the Taliban were
in power) as rash and irresponsible, and as an alarming and unpredictable
threat to the peace of the Western Hemisphere.
France's number one best seller claims that the US orchestrated the Sept 11
attack.. Thierry Meyssan's book called
"The Horrifying Fraud" dismisses the
universally accepted version of the 9/11 tragedy as a 'loony fable' patched
together by the White House and the US Defense Department, as 'one lie
called forth another.' He maintains that neither American Airlines flight 77
nor any other aircraft crashed into the Pentagon on 9/11 - the explosion was
likely to have been detonated on the ground. He similarly rejects notions
that the planes that struck the World Trade Center Towers were flown by Al
Qaida terrorists, and argues they were in fact directed by remote from the
ground.
The book now holds the distinction of breaking the French publishing record
for first month sales, previously held by Madonna's "Sex."
The biggest victor of Sept 11 was the United States military-industrial
lobby, its wildest dreams having been fulfilled. Or has it? Are the real
'spooks' about to emerge from the cupboards?
