12 Ethiopian planes make emergency landings at Khartoum Airport

Khartoum (UNA-OIC) – Khartoum International Airport received 12 Ethiopian planes, which made emergency landings over the past two days.

The planes belonging to Ethiopian Airlines, which were en route from a number of European and Asian airports to Addis Ababa, were forced to make emergency landings at Khartoum airport due to severe weather conditions in Ethiopia.

Director-General of the Sudan Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA) Eng. Ibrahim Adlan said in a statement to SUNA that Khartoum airport authorities acted with high professionalism and full coordination with the appropriate parties to receive the aircraft and provide them with all technical and logistics service until they departed safely to Addis Ababa airport after the weather conditions had improved.
