Algiers (UNA-OIC) – Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra discussed over phone with United Nations Special Envoy for Libya Jan Kubiš developments of the political process in Libya.
Lamamra tweeted that talks involved “latest developments of the political process to end crisis in this brotherly country.”
The minister reaffirmed Algeria’s support for UN efforts and preparedness to follow up and render successful national reconciliation in collaboration with the African Union, Algerian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The talks came as Algerian Prime Minister Ayman Benabderrahmane discussed on July 3 with Head of Libya’s Government of National Unity (GNU) Abdulhamid Dabaiba developments of the political track in Libya.
It is noteworthy that Dabaiba had talks with Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune last May on political and security cooperation and the political solution in Libya.
