Baku (UNA-OIC) – The Task force under Azerbaijan’s Cabinet of Ministers has decided to introduce certain mitigation measures for COVID-19 in the cities and districts with a strict quarantine regime and across the country, as of August 5.
A statement by the Task Force said that the decision was made in accordance with the current sanitary-epidemiological situation in the country.
A stabilization of the sanitary-epidemiological situation is currently observed as a result of the tight measures taken on 21 June 2020 in order to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection, the statement said, pointing out that the preventive measures and people’s compliance with the existing rules have resulted in the number of new infections to start to decline.
The Task Force urged all citizens to follow the preventive measures, in order to protect themselves and their loved ones from the coronavirus pandemic. It also called on everyone to observe the rules of medical prophylaxis, not to gather in groups of more than five in public places, to keep social distancing and to wear medical masks.
