Bahrain's Interior Ministry wins GCC award for innovation in employee engagement in public sector

Dubai (UNA-OIC) – The Interior Ministry of the Kingdom of Bahrain has won the “Innovation in Employee Engagement in Public Sector” award in the Government Human Resources Awards 2021 held in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.

Assistant Undersecretary for Human Resources Brigadier Adel Abdullah Amin said that the award recognizes the efforts of the ministry, led by Interior Minister Lt. Gen. Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and his directives to enhance employee engagement in the development of performances, the main factor for success.

The Human Resources Department has established an engagement system for their employees, in implementation of the ministry’s strategy, and in line with Bahrain Vision 2030 that encourages the development and the involvement of employees and the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), he added.

The Assistant Undersecretary praised the Minister’s support to human resources and the award that recognizes the development drive within the Ministry.

The GOV HR Summit 2021 held for the ninth consecutive year has been benchmarked as the region’s key human resource event.

The GOV HR Awards 2021 aims to highlight, honor and celebrate path-breaking achievements of public sector organizations and individuals who have demonstrated exemplary leadership towards driving organizational and team effectiveness through human capital management, diversity and strategic planning.

According to organizers, it brings together brilliant minds and key stakeholders in Human Resources from across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for highlighting best practices, unparalleled networking opportunities, to reinvent the role of HR and prepare organizations to respond to the high-priority business and human capital needs.
