Burkina Faso allocates 5 billion CFA francs to help flood victims

Ouagadougou (UNA-OIC) – Burkina Faso has allocated 5 billion CFA francs ($9.06 million) for the resettlement and reintegration of victims of recent floods.

Burkina Faso’s Minister of Culture Abdoul Karim Sango said on Wednesday that the Ministry of Finance will release a credit line of 5 billion CFA francs to deal with emergency situations caused by the floods.

Floods have killed at least 13 people and injured 19 others in Burkina Faso following days of heavy rains across the West African nation, including the capital.
