Death toll of mosque blast rise to 20

Dhaka, (UNA-OIC) – The Deathtoll of a mosque blast in Bangladesh’s Narayanganj has risen to 20, BSS reported Saturday.

According to BSS, the mosque’s air conditioner exploded, resulting in 20 people’s deaths, and 17 more in critical condition.

Narayanganj Fire Service Deputy Assistant Director Abdullah Al-Arefin said that there was a gas pipeline located under the mosque, adding that the AC might have blasted from leakage in the gas pipeline as the gas accumulated inside the mosque.

Victims of the incident are undergoing treatment at the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
