Delegates from Libya's rival administrations value Morocco's effort to resolve Libyan crisis

Rabat (UNA-OIC) – Delegates from Libya’s rival administrations participating in the dialogue sessions in Bouznika expressed their thanks to the Kingdom of Morocco for its role in embracing the Libyan political dialogue.

The delegations of the High Council of State and the Libyan House of Representatives expressed, in a press briefing, at the end of the first day of the Libyan dialogue sessions, their appreciation of Morocco’s sincere endeavor and its keenness to find a solution to the Libyan crisis.

Before Sunday’s meeting between the two Libyan sides, Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita said his country is ready to provide Libyans with a space for discussion, according to their will, stressing that “Morocco has no agenda or initiative to submit” to the two sides.

A solution to Libya’s crisis must be decided by the Libyans themselves under the auspices of the United Nations, Bourita added before delegates met behind closed doors.
