Cairo (UNA-OIC) – The Arab Republic of Egypt on Saturday condemned Israel’s approval of the construction of more than 5,000 units in the occupied West Bank settlements.
Egyptian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ambassador Ahmed Hafez said in a press statement that the Israeli settlement construction and expansion activities are contrary to international legitimacy and the UN Security Council resolutions, especially UNSC Resolution 2334.
He said that the Israeli policies exacerbate the lack of trust between the parties and put the internationally agreed two-state solution in grave danger.
