Four dead in Kazakhstan military plane crash

Almaty (UNA-OIC) – A military aircraft flown by Kazakhstan’s National Security Committee of Kazakhstan crashed on the final approach path, killing four crew members and wounding two others.

As earlier reported, the military plane AN-26 en route Nur-Sultan-Almaty made an emergency landing on Saturday at 05:22 pm local time at the Almaty airport. Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev ordered an investigation into the doomed aircraft, in order to find out the cause of its crash.

The National Security Committee made public the names of the military personnel who were killed in the jet crash, expressing sincere condolences to their families and relatives, KAZINFORM reported Sunday.

It said the soldiers who died tragically while on military duty were Major Gabit Barlykbayev born on October 19, 1984; Captain Doszhan Baimuratov born on December 15, 1985; Senior lieutenant Mukhtar Sagimbayev, born on November 24, 1994; and Sergeant Eugeniy Vasilkov, born on November 10, 1985.
