Amirabdollahian on Wednesday morning arrived in Baku to meet Azerbaijan Republic’s officials.
On Wednesday evening the Iranian foreign minister met and conferred with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliev.
Upon arrival at Baku International Airport Amirabdollahian said in a meeting with the press: In this visit I will have meetings with high ranking officials of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
“I have various ideas for evermore expansion of cooperation which I will present in my meeting with President Aliyev,” said the foreign minister.
Amirabdollahian, meanwhile, informed the press that during the past three months he has had several contacts with his Azerbaijani counterpart during which they have reached good frameworks for broader mutual cooperation.
“I will finalize those frameworks in my meeting with the president of Azerbaijan Republic, and after that we will be witnesses to evermore frequenting of economic, commercial, and cultural delegations of the two nations between the two countries,” he said.
