IsDB calls for women access to leadership positions in private sector

Jeddah (UNA-OIC) – The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group participated in the virtual G20 4th EMPOWER Alliance Meeting held on Sunday, under Saudi Arabia’s Presidency of the G20 Summit.

During the meeting, IsDB proposed EMPOWER to have a platform for dialogue between the public and private sectors to remove barriers to the advancement of women in leadership positions in the private sector.

EMPOWER is a private sector-led alliance and does not reflect the views of all G20 members. It strives to increase women’s access to opportunities, through greater cooperation between the private and public sectors in order to remove the barriers that hold women back from participating in the economy.
