Jeddah (UNA-OIC) – President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group Dr. Bandar Hajjar chaired Thursday a virtual meeting of the heads of the multilateral development banks (MDBs) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
During the meeting, officials of these institutions reaffirmed their commitment to providing by December 2021 a $230-billion financing package for member countries to tackle the COVID19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, Dr. Hajjar affirmed IsDB’s commitment to building partnerships and assisting the least developed countries (LDCs) to achieve financial sustainability and access to concessional financing in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.
