Jakarta again extends social distancing measures until Dec 6

Jakarta, (UNA-OIC) – The Jakarta government has again extended large-scale social distancing measures for the transition period towards a healthy, safe, and productive society for 14 days from Nov 23 to Dec 6, 2020.

Extension of the transitional measures was in accordance with Jakarta Governor’s Decree Number 1100 of 2020 as a precautionary measure against a spike in COVID-19 cases, Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan stated here on Sunday evening.

“The Jakarta government can extend or implement an emergency brake policy if there is a significant increase in the number of cases or an alarming rate of transmission that endangers health services,” he explained.
