Jordan receives $1.7 billion in foreign aid, soft loans in 7 months

Amman, (UNA-OIC) – The total amount of foreign assistance, grants, and soft loans committed to Jordan by donor countries and financing institutions stood at $1.7 billion in the first seven months of 2020, according to data by the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation.
The figures, released on Monday, indicated that the Kingdom had received $589 million in development grants and $507 million in soft loans and while the value of additional assistance provided to the Jordan Response Plan for the Syria Crisis (JRP) reached $597 million.
