Jordanian king participates in virtual P4G Seoul Summit on climate change

Amman (UNA-OIC) – King Abdullah II of Jordan on Sunday participated in the virtual Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 (P4G) Summit, organized by South Korea.
The summit, which extends over two days with the participation of over 60 heads of state and government as well as representatives of international organizations, seeks to mobilize green investments and to encourage building partnerships that push towards realizing climate-related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
In his remarks, King Abdullah noted the impact climate change has had on Jordan and the challenge of water scarcity, as well as transforming aspects of the country’s ecosystem. He stressed that the threat of climate change in one country affects all countries around the globe, adding that it is a collective responsibility to make sure that the planet stays a sustainable and vibrant home for all creatures.
