Kazakhstan to launch children's rights call center

Nur-Sultan, (UNA-OIC) – UN expert on human rights Khalida Azhigulova announced the launch of a hotline for children’s rights protection.

“Kazakhstan launches September this year a call center 111 for children and adults to contact if their rights were abused,” Azhigulova said.

According to Azhigulova, the center will serve as a useful and essential tool to fight, prevent, and respond to abuse, bullying, or cyberbullying.

Centers located in Almaty, Shymkent, and Nur-Sultan will receive calls from all over the country and contact the special offices located in each region.

According to Kazinform, the call center commenced its operations in 2016, but it is preparing a relaunch this month.
