Beirut (UNA-OIC) – The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) is currently going from house to house to provide aid and humanitarian support to the families impacted by the Beirut Port explosion.
The Society stands in support of these families, whether through providing them with food or health supplies, Head of KRCS Lebanon mission Dr. Musaed Al-Enezi told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), adding that KRCS teams also distributed sanitary supplies and face masks to people as a precaution against COVID-19 infection.
Kuwait Red Crescent plans to hand out some 10,000 food and health baskets to those affected, in collaboration with the Kuwaiti embassy in Lebanon and the Lebanese Red Cross.
The plans also include the distribution of medical equipment, health supplies and electrical equipment, as well as scheduled visits to the wounded to identify their basic needs, Al-Enezi underscored.
KRCS has further provided the Lebanese Red Cross with 10 generators for its ambulances and blood bank, in addition to the planned delivery of 10 ambulances and four mobile blood bank stations.
