New production in the textile industry

Uzbekistan’s textile industry began manufacturing protective medical overalls based on one hundred percent cotton hydrophobic fabric.

Overalls based on the technology of imparting special protective properties to fabrics protect against infection by pathogenic bacteria and viruses. Such overalls are already being used in practice.

The project was initiated by the CottonRoad joint venture, which is part of Uzbekistan Textile Industry Association. Under an agreement with CHT GmbH (Germany) and CHT Switzerland AG (Switzerland), the company has mastered the latest European innovation “HeiQViroblock”. This is an antiviral and antimicrobial technology for the production of protective suits from cotton fabrics with microparticles of silver ions in combination with a special vesicular component.
