At the International Press Club, Head of the State Inspection of Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance under the Cabinet of Ministers, Chief State Sanitary Inspector of Uzbekistan Nurmat Otabekov told about the plans for antibody testing in the country.

According to him, about 30 thousand tests for coronaviruses are currently being carried out daily. It is impossible to conduct mass testing.

“There are not enough PCR machines, even medical system itself will not survive to test all”, N. Otabekov emphasized.

Therefore, from now on, patients will be hospitalized without test results. Using X-rays and computed tomography, the condition of lungs will be determined and appropriate treatment will be prescribed. Activities are underway to equip all family polyclinics with these devices.

Private clinics of the country are also engaged in treatment and diagnosis of coronavirus.
