Jeddah (UNA-OIC) – The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned in the strictest terms the attack perpetrated by gunmen on an army patrol in southwest Niger.
In a statement issued on Monday, the General Secretariat offered its deepest condolences to the families of the fallen soldiers, to the Government and people of Niger, and wished the wounded a speedy recovery.
The General Secretariat reiterated the OIC’s principled position against all forms of terrorism and extremism. It also expressed its solidarity with the West African nation in its fight against terrorism.
