OIC condemns failed Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia with ballistic missiles and drones

Jeddah (UNA-OIC) – Secretary-General of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousef bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen strongly condemned the Houthi militia’s failed hostile attempts to launch two ballistic missiles and explosive-laden drones to deliberately target civilians and civilian objects in Saudi Arabia.

The Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces (RAFF) managed today to successfully intercept and destroy the Houthi missiles and drones before reaching their targets, the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen has announced.

Al-Othaimeen affirmed OIC’s condemnation of the terror practices committed by the Houthi militia and those who supply them with money and weapons. He also considered these acts as war crimes and a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.

The Secretary-General reiterated the Organization’s stance and solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to protect its security and stability as well as the safety of its citizens and residents.
