Jeddah (UNA-OIC) – The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the attacks perpetrated by gunmen on several villages in northern Burkina Faso, killing a large number of people.
Extending its solidarity with Burkina Faso in its fight against terrorism, the OIC General Secretariat offered its deepest condolences to the families of the victims, as well as to the Government and people of Burkina Faso, and wished a speedy recovery to the wounded.
The General Secretariat reiterated the principled position of the OIC against all forms of terrorism and extremism, which constitute a daunting threat to all Member States and to international peace and security.
