OIC condemns Houthi militia's launch of booby-trapped drone towards Saudi Arabia

Jeddah (UNA-OIC) – The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the launching by the Houthi militia of a drone (booby trapped) towards Saudi Arabia, which was shot down by the Forces of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen.

OIC Secretary General Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen expressed his condemnation of the continuity of the terrorist Houthi militia and those who provide it with money and weapons to launch booby-trapped drones towards the Saudi territories.

The Secretary General called for a halt to violating the Stockholm Agreement and the ceasefire in Hodeidah. He also expressed the OIC’s condemnation of the Houthi terrorist militia’s continued use of Hodeidah Governorate as a platform to launch hostilities and terrorist operations by firing ballistic missiles, drones and remote-controlled booby-trapped boats, as it constitutes a threat to regional and international security and undermines political efforts for the success of Stockholm Agreement.

Al-Othaimeen further affirmed the OIC’s support for the efforts of the Coalition Joint Forces and the measures they take, as well as the political efforts of the UN Special Envoy for Yemen to end the coup and reach a comprehensive political solution.
