Jeddah (UNA-OIC) – A high-level delegation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) took part in the inauguration ceremony of Mohamed Bazoum as President of the Republic of Niger, which was held in the capital Niamey on Friday.
OIC Secretary-General Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen praised the process of peaceful transition of power from former President Issoufou Muhammadu to President Bazoum. He expressed his hope that this step would lead to more prosperity, development and stability in Niger.
The Secretary-General also expressed his wishes for success to the elected president in his new mission. At the same time, he commended the efforts made by the former president during his presidency.
