Dubai (UNA-OIC) – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Friday took part in the opening ceremony of Expo 2020 Dubai, which was launched by Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The Expo, an exhibition of culture, technology and architecture under the theme “Connecting Minds and Creating the Future”, is hosted by Dubai at Al Wasl Plaza from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022.
It is worth noting that the 90-minute opening ceremony witnessed the presence of many guests, including UAE royal family, several foreign dignitaries, as well as the official representatives of countries, and international and regional organizations participating in Expo 2020, and members of the diplomatic and consular corps accredited to the UAE.
