Jeddah (UNA-OIC) – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) dispatched an observer mission to monitor the parliamentary elections (Jokorgu Kenesh) in the Kyrgyz Republic, scheduled for Sunday, November 28.
The delegation, led by Ambassador Boubakar Adamou, took part in a meeting of Heads of International Observer Missions on Saturday, November 27, which discussed the preparations, in order to guarantee free, fair, and transparent elections.
The delegation conveyed the greetings of OIC Secretary-General Hissein Brahim Taha and expressed the Organization’s readiness to support the commitment of the Kyrgyz people to consolidate democracy and socio-economic development in their country.
