Jeddah, (UNA-OIC) – The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Dr. Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen, welcomed Kuwait’s Foreign Minister and Acting Minister of Information, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al-Muhammad Al-Sabah announcement of “fruitful discussions” regarding efforts to achieve the GCC reconciliation.
The OIC Secretary General appreciated the reconciliation efforts previously led by His Highness the late Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may Allah have mercy on him, and the efforts currently being exerted by His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, and efforts of the friends of the Gulf states, notably, his Excellency President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, to resolve the crisis.
Dr. Al-Othaimeen stressed the OIC’s keenness on Gulf and Arab solidarity and stability, which constitute a driving force for the security and stability of the OIC Member States.
