Oman calls for Arab solidarity with Sudan to overcome plight of heavy floods

Muscat (UNA-OIC) – The Sultanate of Oman called for Arab solidarity with the Sudanese people to overcome their ordeal as a result of the heavy rainfall and flash floods that left tremendous damage and great loss of life and property.

This came during Oman’s speech delivered by Badr bin Hilal al-Busaidi, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Sultanate to the Arab League, at the 154th session of the Arab League Council held in Cairo on Monday at the level of permanent representatives.

Following Oman’s speech, the State of Palestine took over the presidency of the 154th session from the Sultanate to complete the agenda in preparation for the virtual meeting of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level set to take place on Wednesday.
