Oman continues to send relief flights to Lebanon following Beirut blast

Muscat (UNA-OIC) – The Sultanate of Oman continued on Wednesday to operate relief flights to Lebanon, as per the Royal directives of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, to support the Lebanese people in the aftermath of the devastating Beirut blast of August 4.

“Based on the directives of His Majesty, the Sultanate continues to operate air relief flights through military transport aircraft by the Royal Air Force of Oman, carrying various medical supplies and humanitarian and relief needs necessary for the sisterly Republic of Lebanon,” Ministry of Defense said in a statement today.

Oman’s initiative aims to help the authorities in Lebanon overcome the consequences of the massive explosion that ripped through the port area of the capital Beirut, leaving heavy human and material damages.
