Nur-Sultan hosts 5th Meeting of Saudi-Kazakhstan Joint Committee

Riyadh (UNA-OIC) – Saudi Minister of Investment Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih headed a delegation of government officials and public sector representatives on an official visit to Kazakhstan.

During the visit, the delegation met with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and Prime Minister Askar Mamin, and discussed with them bilateral ties and joint cooperation, as well as means to enhance economic and investment relations between Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan.

The Saudi delegation also held meetings with Kazakh state officials and representatives of major companies, including agriculture, mining, oil and gas, communications and information technologies, space, tourism, and construction.

The visit aims to boost mutual economic and development relations between the two countries by taking full advantage of the opportunities offered by the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and presenting these unparalleled opportunities to Kazakh investors and through the contribution of Saudi business sectors to the economic developments in Kazakhstan.

While taking part in the fifth meeting of the Saudi-Kazakhstan Joint Committee, Al-Falih stressed the importance of promoting mutual and joint investments in the two countries and taking advantage of the available opportunities, especially as Saudi Arabia’s economy opens at an unprecedented pace and scope within the framework of Vision 2030.

During the visit, the Saudi minister is scheduled to attend the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the National Companies Entrepreneurship Program of the Ministry of Investment and Kazakhstan Invest.
