Online registration for 1st Global Conference for Giftedness and Creativity begins

Riyadh (UNA-OIC) – The electronic registration processes for the 1st Global Conference for Giftedness and Creativity … Imagine the Future 2020, to be hosted by Saudi Arabia on November 8-9, was launched on Sunday.
The conference is organized by King Abdulaziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity “Mawhiba” and the G20 Saudi Secretariat, under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz.
The event falls within the programs of international conferences being held on the sidelines of the G20 2020 Saudi Presidency, and coincides with the 20th anniversary of Mawhiba establishment. It will attract a pool of international futurists, decision-makers, and keynote speakers in different fields, in participation with Aramco and SABIC as the conference strategic knowledge partners.
At a time when the King Abdulaziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity expects that the number of virtual attendees for the conference to exceed one million people from around the world, registration was inaugurated Sunday on the conference website:

The website allows those interested and specialists in talent and creativity to register for free in the conference’s activities, dialogue sessions and workshops with two sessions per day, which witness the participation of three keynote speakers: Dr. Michio Kaku, an American futurist and theoretical physicist; Neil deGrasse Tyson, an American astrophysicist and science communicator; and Gerd Leonhard,  a leading European futurist and humanist, a global Keynote Speaker, the author of ‘Technology vs Humanity’.
Participants in the working sessions and talk about the future of education and economy include Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals and Minister of Energy; Dr. Hamad Al Al-Sheikh, Minister of Education; and a number of prominent international speakers. The conference also features discussion sessions on artificial intelligence, innovation and entrepreneurship, with the participation of CEOs from Microsoft, Siri, Amazon, Huawei, and the CEO of the NEOM project.
The conference, which was scheduled to be held biennially, is a message from Saudi Arabia to the world, with a future forecast that strengthen the Kingdom’s global leadership in developing the talent and creative capabilities of young people to shape new future horizons and assert the ability of talented and creative people to make the virtual world and employ it efficiently.

The conference deals with several main topics, including the most prominent global practices in developing gifted, creative and innovative youth; building the virtual world and foreseeing sciences and technology by investing in giftedness and creativity; guiding gifted, creative and innovative potentials to meet global crisis and challenges; investment in nurturing giftedness, creativity and innovation to achieve social welfare and economic growth; and enhancing virtual knowledge exchange among gifted, creative and innovative individuals around the world.
On the conference platform, the Kingdom will present global successful Saudi models from its talented students, who have been assigned by Mawhiba to lead the discussion sessions, with the participation of prominent global scientists specialized in various areas of science, virtual reality, industrial intelligence and dealing with international challenges, in addition to achieving sustainable development.
It is noteworthy that Mawhiba is the first world’s institution in the field of sponsoring and discovering talented people, as the number of beneficiaries exceeded 161,000 students. In the last 10 years, the Foundation has achieved unprecedented international successes, where its students have won 390 international prizes in various global competitions. Also, a number of countries have benefited from Mawhiba in the transfer of its student experiences.
