At last there is some light at the end of the dark tunnel of Pakistan and the torch bearer is no less a person than Pir Sahib of Pagara sharif, the President of Functional Muslim League. He has taken a very laudable and historical step as printed in Dawn of May 7th, 2001 inviting all the factions of Pakistan Muslim Leagues to a meeting on June 3rd, 2001 at Lahore, shed their differences and join hands to become an All Pakistan Muslim League as the Musalmans of India had All India Muslim League in pre-partition days, which wrested Pakistan from the iron clutches of the British and the Hindus of India. It was a sincerity of purpose, discipline in the ranks and faith in the destiny of Musalmans that united the Musalmans of India under one banner, so that the Musalmans in the region now called Pakistan could chant without fear or favour ” Pakistan Ka Matlab Kiya, Laillaha Illalallah.”
Now Pir Sahib Pagara has taken upon himself to revive the same spirit to save Pakistan from any further disintegration and lead it to the glory which tha Quaid-e-Azam had promised on 14th August 1947. The efforts to destablize Pakistan has been going on right from day one, there was a proposal of greater unity through a meeting of the Frontier Gandhi Khan Abdul Ghafar Khan with Quaid-e-Azam. Vested interest in Pakistan politics would not let them meet while the stage was already set and the proposal fizzled out. Soon after that Quaid-e-Azam breathed his last and Pakistan has been struggling for unity among the federating provinces and also to find a leader who could unite the Pathans, the Punjabis, the Blauch, the Sindhis and the Bengalis, and weld them into a nation of Pakistanis. Right from day one Pakistan is a state without a nation, its a happy augury or probably this is the time when Allah has willed to unite Pakistan through the efforts of Pir Sahib Pagaro.
We have got every thing you can think of, manpower, mountains, rivers, glaciers, lands, mineral and natural resource deposits and on top of it four seasons. Our beloved Quaid-e-Azam did not live long enough to provide the country a leader like himself. Now Pir Sahib Pagara has taken upon himself to do that glorious job, which is only the destiny of great man. The Pir has shown a ray of statesmanship in him and be the guiding light irrespective of the musical chairs which has landed Pakistan into this inglorious stalemate. The nation hopes and pray that he maintains it. Pir Pagara’s name will shine in gold letters for future historians of Pakistan.
I would urge upon all the factions of Muslim Leagues to attend this historical meeting with an open mind without any consideration for their self or their party, there should be only one consideration – Pakistan, Pakistan and Pakistan. Uptill now the politicians have exploited Pakistan Muslim League to their advantage and that is why so many factions. Now Pir Sahib wants to lead them the other way round and put their self in the service of the party and that is the All Pakistan Muslim League. Every Muslim Leaguer of whatever faction he may be claims that Pakistan Muslim League had won Pakistan, little realizing that it was All India Muslim League, which achieved Pakistan. For God sake realize what Pakistan has given to you and now is the time for the politicians and the people of Pakistan to return that debt to the country, do not fail Pakistan at this juncture, simply because an individual is a pre-cursor, dont see who has said it, please see what is being said. So Muslim Leaguers should unite under the call of Pir Sahib and revive the spirit of unity faith and discipline.
