Khartoum (UNA-OIC) – Sudanese Prime Minister Dr. Abdalla Hamdok met here on Wednesday with US Deputy Envoy for the Horn of Africa Peyton Nove, who is currently visiting Sudan.
During the meeting, Hamdok expressed thanks to the American official for the continuous support provided by the US government and people to the civil democratic transition in Sudan.
The prime minister stressed that the Sudanese revolution has set goals that the people of Sudan have agreed upon, and they are much keen to take it to its end.
On his part, Nove affirmed the keenness of the United States to support the civil democratic transition in Sudan. He praised Hamdok’s efforts to reach solutions for the local and regional issues and challenges in his capacity as the Prime Minister of Sudan and current chairman of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD).
