PM Hamdok hails Germany's supportive stance to Sudan

Khartoum (UNA-OIC) – Sudanese Prime Minister Dr. Abdalla Hamdok commended Germany’s supportive stance to Sudan, stressing Khartoum’s keenness to enhance cooperation with Berlin in various fields, especially in the areas of ​​economic cooperation and investment.

Hamdok made the remarks during his meeting here on Tuesday with German Ambassador to Sudan Ulrich Klöckner. He thanked the German diplomat for the efforts made by the embassy, which opened up the floodgates of enhancing cooperation between the two countries.

The prime minister briefed the ambassador on the clear features during the short period of the transitional government as well as the active movement to exchange visits with Germany at the highest levels, following the impressive success of the Sudan Partnership Conference, hosted recently by Berlin.

On his part, Ambassador Klöckner affirmed his country’s keenness to support the efforts of the transitional government and enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
