Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan debate free passage of cargo carriers at state border

Bishkek, (UNA-OIC) – First Deputy Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Nuran Niyazaliyev received on Monday Kazakh Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Kairat Nurpeisov, where they considered the current level and prospects of Kyrgyz-Kazakh bilateral cooperation in all spheres, and paid special attention to the issues of free passage of cargo carriers across the Kyrgyz-Kazak state border.

Niyazaliyev appealed to the Kazakh side with a request to take appropriate measures to settle issues at the state border, related to the need to pass the analysis for drivers engaged in bilateral and transit road transport and provide a certificate with the result of the COVID-19 test.

Noting the importance of creating favorable conditions for entrepreneurs/agricultural producers and consumers in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, the sides came to the understanding of the need to remove the existing barriers in this area, taking into account compliance with sanitary and epidemiological norms aimed at combating coronavirus infection in countries and the region.
