Doha (UNA-OIC) – Qatar International Search and Rescue Group of the Internal Security Force “Lekhwiya” has concluded its search and rescue operations in the sites affected by fires in Greece.
During a meeting with Commander of Qatar International Search and Rescue Group Lt. Col. Abdullah Eid Al Mohannadi and a group of senior officers, Secretary-General of the Greek Citizen Protection Ministry Vassilis Papageorgiou expressed thanks and appreciation to the Emir, Government and people of the State of Qatar for the support and assistance in the fire-fighting operations in his country.
Papageorgiou also praised the efforts of the Qatar International Search and Rescue Group and the Civil Defence Group of the Interior Ministry in those operations.
