Saudi Arabia announces start of second dose vaccine program

Riyadh (UNA-OIC) – Saudi Arabia’s COVID-19 vaccination program has covered 70 percent of the adult population in the Kingdom, the Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday.

The number of doses given in more than 587 vaccination centers exceeded 16.8 million covering various health sectors in the Kingdom, the ministry said.

It announced the launch of the second dose vaccine program, starting Thursday, 24 June 2021, covering the groups of 50 years of age and over, while the first dose plan will continue for individuals who are not yet vaccinated.
