Neom (UNA-OIC) – The Saudi Cabinet reiterated that the Kingdom reserves the legitimate right to defend itself against the ballistic missile, explosive-laden drone, and boat attacks launched by terrorist Houthi militia on a daily basis to target civilian objects and threaten international navigation and global energy supplies.

During its virtual session held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, the Cabinet renewed Saudi Arabia’s solidarity with Sudan in everything that supports the Sudanese government and people’s security, stability and prosperity. It also reiterated the Kingdom’s condemnation of the failed coup attempt that took place against the legitimate state institutions in Sudan.

The Cabinet stressed the contents of Saudi Arabia’s speech delivered by the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques before the 76th UN General Assembly in New York, including the Kingdom’s visions regarding the current global issues and challenges.

The speech also included contents that embodied the Kingdom’s pivotal humanitarian, development and economic role at the regional and international levels. This is in addition to the Kingdom’s foreign policy that pays utmost importance to consolidate security and stability, support dialogue and peaceful solutions, as well as creating conditions conducive to achieving development and meeting peoples’ aspirations for a better tomorrow in the Middle East and the entire world.

In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Minister of the State, Member of the Cabinet Dr. Issam bin Saad bin Saeed said, on behalf of the Acting Media Minister, that the Cabinet touched on the Kingdom’s support for the joint international efforts to facilitate access to COVID-19 vaccines, in compliance with intellectual property rights and relevant international treaties. This comes, he added, in light of the Saudi efforts to combat the coronavirus and contain the impacts of the pandemic, in addition to creating conditions that lead to the availability of vaccines for all peoples.
