Makkah (UNA-OIC) – The Saudi Ministry of Media launched the Media Operations Room for the Hajj Season 1442 AH (2021), with the view to unifying and coordinating media efforts among state agencies, and creating media content that keeps pace with Saudi Arabia’s efforts in serving pilgrims.
The Media Operations Room has a virtual media center and press conference headquarters that provide daily briefings on the Hajj season. It includes the government communication team, the media planning team, the public relations and partnerships team, the content creation team, the design team, and the international communication team.
The center employs more than 30 male and female national cadres, representing all media specializations and professional practices. The virtual media center created an electronic platform inside the operations room, in order to provide virtual media services related to the transmission of Hajj news and programs. More than 6000 media personnel from inside and outside the Kingdom have already registered on the platform.
The center uploads quality news materials, photos and videos to the online platform so that international news agencies, newspapers, as well as local and international TV channels, can disseminate them with high quality.
