SDAIA signs MoU with National Development Fund

Riyadh (UNA-OIC) – The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and the National Development Fund signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for cooperation between the two parties in order to carry out many national initiatives seeking to achieve the maximum benefit from data and artificial intelligence.

This comes within the framework of the strategic plan of the National Development Fund, and to keep pace with what serves development priorities and economic needs in light of the objectives and pillars of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

The signing ceremony took place in the presence of SDAIA President Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Al-Ghamdi, and Governor of the National Development Fund Stephen P. Groff. SDAIA was represented in the signing of the MoU by Deputy Director of the National Information Center and the CEO of the Strategy Management Office Dr. Mishari Ibrahim Al-Mishari, while the National Development Fund was represented by Deputy Governor for Supervision of Funds Abdulelah Al-Nimr.

Under this MoU, the two parties seek to adopt the field of data and artificial intelligence within the targeted sectors in the Fund’s development strategy. The memorandum will also identify ways and methodologies to contribute to stimulating the field of data and artificial intelligence and support quality projects, to serve the priorities of development and support the economic needs of Saudi Arabia.
