CBT tourism (Community based tourism) is becoming more and more popular among tourists who want to get acquainted with the traditions and lifestyle of local residents, enjoy the view of nature, feel a different atmosphere of life. For the effective implementation of the European Union Project “Strengthening rural and ecotourism through business associations for sustainable economic development in Central Asia”, a set of measures has been developed in the Republic of Uzbekistan aimed at marketing promotion of CBT Uzbekistan. The range of prepared information products turned out to be very wide: a logo, a website, brochures, dictionaries and a guide for family guest house owners.
A special website, www.cbtuzbekistan.uz, has been developed for promotional advertising of CBT, which provides detailed information about guest houses with a demonstration of their location on an interactive map. User-friendly logistics and a comfortable ecosystem of the website allow to find the best option for a vacation in rural areas of Uzbekistan. The site is developed by the Association of private tourism agencies of Uzbekistan (APTA).
CBT routes developed by leading tour operators of the country will also be included on the website.
