Khartoum (UNA-OIC) – The Sudanese Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Mohamed Ali Abdullah has announced the state’s future plan to prevent the export of raw commodities gradually with the aim of increasing the added value of Sudanese products and making them more competitive in global markets.

Abdullah affirmed, in a statement to SUNA, that the export of manufactured products increases the proceeds of a hard currency compared to exporting in raw materials, adding that the manufacture of goods will lead to the factories operating, unemployment reduction, and poverty alleviation.

He stressed that the only one has the right to issue a decision on exports or imports was the Ministry of Industry and Trade and not any other body as that is one of the Ministry’s jurisdictions, stressing that his ministry has not currently issued any decision to stop the export of raw gum.
