Sudan, South Sudan sign draft agreements to develop oil cooperation

Khartoum (UNA-OIC) – Sudan and South Sudan signed draft agreements to develop oil cooperation between the two countries during the visit of a Sudanese delegation to Juba, led by Prime Minister Dr. Abdalla Hamdok.

The agreements revolve around creating a climate conducive to full cooperation in the oil and gas industry, facilitating the movement of workers and the mechanisms of oil and service companies, which increases the logistical efficiency of drilling and maintenance operations.

It is noteworthy that a joint communiqué was issued on Saturday at the end of the visit of Prime Minister Hamdok and his accompanying delegation to South Sudan’s capital Juba. The communiqué indicated that the visit came in the context of the continuous consultation between the leaderships of the two neighboring countries to address issues of mutual interest.
