Sudan's removal from US terror list would help revive economy

Khartoum (UNA-OIC) – Sudanese Prime Minister Dr. Abdalla Hamdok affirmed that the US administration’s decision to remove Sudan from the list of State Sponsors of Terrorism would provide an opportunity to manage the country’s economy with new, integrated and more effective mechanisms and policies.

According to Sudan News Agency (SUNA), Hamdok indicated that this decision will help Sudan handle its debts that exceed US$60 billion, in addition to opening the floodgates for regional and international investments.

On Monday evening, US President Donald Trump announced that he intends to lift Sudan’s state sponsor of terrorism designation.
