Tunisia imposes night-time curfew in Greater Tunis to curb virus spread

Tunis (UNA-OIC) – The Tunisian authorities announced the imposition of a night-time curfew in the Greater Tunis region for 15 days, starting from Thursday, in order to curb the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Governor of Ariana, Samir Abdeljaoued said that a curfew was approved in Greater Tunis from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday as of October 8.

In a statement to Tunis Afrique Presse (TAP) on Wednesday evening, Abdeljaoued said that this decision would continue until October 23. He added that the rest of the exceptional measures that were submitted to the Interior Ministry and the Prime Ministry were also approved.
