Tunis (UNA-OIC) – Tunisian Prime Minister Hichem Mechichi met on Sunday at the Naval Base of Tripoli in Libya, with the first and second Vice President of the Libyan Presidential Council, Moussa al-Kouni and Abdullah Al-Lafi.
According to a statement from the Prime Ministry, Mechichi reiterated Tunisia’s commitment to supporting the Libyans in rebuilding their institutions and bringing the transition stage to a successful end, by providing them with all the required expertise.
For their part, both Libyan officials highlighted the special relationship between the two countries and their country’s desire to develop its cooperation with Tunisia in various fields.
They also emphasized the convergence of views between the two governments, affirming the determination of the Libyan government and the Presidential Council to strengthen Tunisian-Libyan relations.
