Tunis (UNA-OIC) – The first negotiation meeting between the Prime Ministry and the Executive Board of the Tunisian General Labor Union (UGTT) was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Hichem Mechichi, in the presence of UGTT Secretary-General Nouredine Tabboubi.
Mechichi stressed at the opening of the meeting the strong relations between the government and the labor organization. He also highlighted the need for a partnership relationship, because of the role of the Union likely to create a peaceful climate, said a statement from the Prime Ministry.
The prime minister recalled, in this vein, the role of the UGTT as a partner in the various projects launched by the government.
For his part, the UGTT chief said the labor organization represents a force of proposal for the government and always stretches out its hand to help, especially in this delicate economic situation in the country.
