UNA participates in launch of second phase of IFTIAS 2.0 program

Jeddah (UNA-OIC) – The Union of OIC News Agencies (UNA) participated in the launch of the second phase of the Aid for Trade Initiative program for Arab countries (IFTIAS 2.0), organized by the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC) on Wednesday, at the headquarters of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) in Jeddah.

On the sidelines of the opening activities, Acting UNA Director-General Mohammed Abd Rabbo Al-Yami met with CEO of ITFC Eng. Hani Salem Sonbol, where they discussed ways of cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

Al-Yami also met on the sidelines of the opening session, with Assistant Secretary-General for Economic Affairs at the Arab League of Arab Ambassador Kamal Hassan Ali, in addition to a number of officials in international and regional organizations.

It is noteworthy that the IFTIAS 2.0 program, which will be implemented over a period of five years, aims to improve the international trade environment in the Arab region, make it more efficient and inclusive, create job opportunities and contribute to sustainable development in the Arab world.
