Manama (UNA-OIC) – Bahraini Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani received on Wednesday a phone call from US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
During the call, the Secretary of State expressed the US government’s thanks and gratitude for the Kingdom of Bahrain’s support of relief efforts and evacuations from Afghanistan. He also lauded the strong friendship and strategic partnership between the two friendly countries.
The two sides reviewed the course of bilateral cooperation and ways to promote friendly relations and further develop them. They also discussed the situation in the region and the efforts being made to maintain regional peace and security, as well as to support humanitarian relief efforts in Afghanistan.
